Dr. Ponjuan will also speak on this topic (from a national perspective) at a public forum entitled, Beyond Awareness and Towards Institutional Action: Improving Male Students of Color Transitions and Academic Experiences at MIT on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, from 5:30-7:00pm, in Bartos Theater (E15-070).

Dr. Luis Ponjuan, an Associate Professor at Texas A&M University. His research focuses on male students of color, academic success and college degree completion, first-generation students’ access into higher education, and the recruitment and retention of faculty members of color.

A reception will be held in the Bartos Atrium (E15-01UA) from 5:30-6:00pm, and his talk will begin around 6pm. Please feel free to join us and help spread the word as well!
