Named one of Variety’s Ten Comics to Watch for 2016, Aparna Nancherla has racked up appearances on Conan, Last Comic Standing, Inside Amy Schumer, and The Jim Gaffigan Show. A former writer on Late Night with Seth Meyers and Totally Biased with W. Kamau Bell, Nancherla heads to MIT to discuss her career and using humor to tackle depression. MIT philosophy professor Kieran Setiya moderates.
Aparna Nancherla is a comedian and host of the long-running underground comedy show, Whiplash, at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theater in New York. She has appeared on Conan, @midnight, Adam Devine’s House Party, and NBC’s Last Comic Standing.
Moderator: Kieran Setiya is a philosophy professor at MIT and author of five books including Midlife: A Philosophical Guide to be published in 2017.
