We’ve all heard about unconscious bias. What can we do about it?
The Speak Up! workshop, led by Daena Giardella, demonstrates a powerful approach to addressing acts of everyday bigotry. Daena’s team will enact a series of scenarios which demonstrate unconscious or overt bias, and the audience will be invited to help the protagonists constructively “Speak Up.”
The workshop will be held on Wednesday, April 19, at 11:30 in Wong Auditorium (E51-115). We will start the session promptly at 11:35 and run until 1:25. Bag lunches will be offered to pre-registrants at the beginning and end of our session. There will be a brief intermission at 12:50 for those who have 1 pm commitments. Please come for as much of this session as your schedule will allow.
Registration is on SloanGroups.
